Father´s Day BBQ

Father´s Day brings his favorite foods to our home. It was both my husband´s birthday and father´s day celebration and we had a pool party with different cuts of beef, all from Argentina, including Bife de Chorizo or a sirloin strip steak piece, Entraña or skirt steak, Lomo al Trapo or beef filet cooked in hammock on the grill, Vacío or flank steak and Tira de Asado or short ribs.

All but the Lomo al trapo were seasoned with olive oil mixed with some pepper and herbs. As we placed the meat on the grill we sprinkled them with Kosher salt.
The lomo al trapo´s recipe from our web page www.creativeculinary.net is linked on todays title.
Check for other recipes like the Chimichurri on the web page or for the video on www.cookingcolombia.com

Coffee Frappé Video on YOU TUBE

Learn how to make lower calorie frappés with instant coffee!

Use almonds to boost its protein and good fat content, low fat milk and skim evaporated milk and a no calorie sweetener. Yes, use great freeze dried amaretto flavored coffee, along with the almonds to create a wonderful and energy filled drink.
Keep this mixture in your fridge and simply add crushed ice when ready to drink it!
Enjoy this wonderful drink in seconds. If you have an immersion blender, my favorite new gadget as I try to develop cooking options for my two daughters now in Stanford and Notre Dame. If you buy the one that has the option to separate the top and bottom you will love it to the point you might even want to take it to work!!! Can you imagine drinking your frozen coffee frappé at 4 p.m. and leaving home as you did in the morning, full of energy and life?
Bon Coffetit to you all!
Recipe Ingredients
1 -1/2  tsp freeze dried amaretto coffee
2 Splenda packets
1/4 cup low fat milk
1/4 cup low fat evaporated milk
1 tbsp toasted slivered almonds
1 cup crushed ice

FOOD AND HOPE – NUTRIR Barranquilla

Nutrir had a Fundraising Bingo in Barranquilla for which I donated a TV. Here’s the letter they sent to me today and some pictures of the activity.

What a nice way to start my blog…

Señora
PATRICIA McCAUSLAND
Barranquilla

Atentamente,

SANDRA LILIANA PINTO
