A reunion of knowledge in gastronomy that might be hard to repeat!

It was just 10 days ago that
I had the pleasure of listening to the person I believe knows more of Caribbean gastronomy in Colombia. Lácides Moreno Blanco has dedicated all of his life to cultivating the culture of our land and the ones around us. He had a two hour detailed talk that we were able to enjoy at La Cueva, the bar where Gabriel García Márquez and his friends from my hometown of Barranquilla would sit to elaborate on life.
Chefs from around our continent, such as Daniel Manrique from Perú who owns the chain of first class restaurants called Segundo Muelle, Leonor Espinosa chef of Leo Cocina y Cava,  cited on Conde Nast Traveler´s top 82 restaurants were invited for a three day workshop and culinary experience.
At the top a photo of my mother, the first woman to bring french pastry and bakery to Barranquilla more that 40 years ago, my sister and I.
It was great to be there.
